What we aim to have regardless of financial wealth – a manifesto
Here they are, in no particular order:
- Get consistent restful sleep for energy and mood enhancement.
- Eat food that gives us energy and helps us be at our best most of the time.
- Fast from time to time.
- Drink water as our beverage of choice.
Move and play. Feel like kids even though we are not.
Feel good in our bodies (as a consequence.
Have and wear quality clothes that suit us and our lifestyle.
Maintain loving relationships with friends and family
Help, love, forgive and invest time in our most important relationships.
Have a positive impact on the community we live in.
Be a role model for the causes we believe in. (Mainly in educating people about the opportunities of technology and entrepreneurship [A] and ethical and environmental consumption[B].)
Volunteer our time and effort to implement consistent action regarding the above.
Grow and challenge ourselves at least once every week.
Work on things we deem meaningful.
Work on things we like doing.
Work on things that help us achieve our goals: both lifestyle and financial ones.
(We are currently on a journey in discovering how to implement all 3 in our lives.)
This list is our family's compass. W fail all the time and get derailed, but every day is a chance to get back up and running again.
What is your compass?
